Leah Giancarelli makes balancing her new role as a single mom look easy, but she’d have crumbled if not for her late husband’s best friend, Marcus. She has her issues with HORNET, an elite hostage rescue team—after all, Danny would still be alive if he’d never accompanied them on their last mission—but Marcus has always been by her side, a strong shoulder to lean on…
Until, after one impulsive kiss, he’s so much more.
Eaten alive by guilt, Marcus takes off, leaving both HORNET and Leah behind. Alone is easier. Safer. Because his feelings for Leah are all kinds of wrong, the worst kind of betrayal, and he can’t trust himself not to act on them.
But Danny’s death was only the beginning. Whoever hired the hitman is looking for something, and they think Leah knows where it is…
Each book in the HORNET series is STANDALONE:
* SEAL of Honor
* Honor Reclaimed
* Broken Honor
* Code of Honor
* Reckless Honor

INTERVIEW
- What is on your nightstand?
I don’t have a nightstand. Our bedroom is too small to fit our bed and nightstands, so we have a bookcase headboard instead. It’s stacked with books of course!
- What author would you totally fan?
J.R. Ward. I did fangirl over her last summer when I briefly met her at the RWA national conference (we were both nominated for a RITA award in the same category—squee!), but I was so tipsy, I have no idea what I said! I hope it wasn’t anything too embarrassing! I have a bad habit of making a fool out of myself in front of my favorite authors. The first time I met Nora Roberts, I tripped over my own feet and dumped my bag out in front of her.
- What makes you cringe?
When people use the word “seen” inappropriately. It’s not “I seen that,” folks. It’s “I saw” or “I’ve seen.” I don’t know why that one particular grammar error irritates me so much, but it does. Maybe because I grew up in an area of the country that uses it regularly? Whatever the reason, I cringe every time.
- Do you obsessively plot out each point or just go with the flow?
I plot out the major points and then just go with the flow. Plotting too much takes the fun out of writing for me. I like for the characters and story to surprise me. I don’t need the entire map, but I do need a direction or else I wander aimlessly and never finish the book.
- Is there a word you love to use?
Just.
So.
Really.
Especially really. If I don’t censor myself, everything becomes really big, really awesome, really cool, really sad, and so on….
Ella, Otto, and Nabisco!
About Tonya:
Tonya Burrows wrote her first romance at age 13 and hasn’t put down her pen since. Originally from a small town in Western New York, she suffers from a bad case of wanderlust and usually ends up moving someplace new every few years. As of now, she lives in the Pacific Northwest with The Boyfriend, a diva schnoodle, a plucky pug-mix, and #writercat.
When she’s not writing about hunky military heroes, Tonya can usually be found kayaking, hiking, or road tripping across the country. She also enjoys painting and B grade disaster movies.
