All I’ve ever tried to do is keep the people in my life safe. That’s gotten me into hot water more times than I can count. Hell, the last time got me four years behind bars.

So when my favorite barista tells her mom that I’m her boyfriend to stop the woman’s endless criticism, I can’t stop myself from helping her out. But she’s too innocent and I’m too damaged for this to ever be the real deal.

I can’t allow myself to touch her, not when making her mine will drag her into my world and drown her in my messed up life. What I really need to do is stay away.

Except every touch and every accidental kiss breaks my control. I want her.

Then I find out her dad is the detective who put me away…and he’s trying to take down my family.

I don’t blame him. The secrets I’m keeping are big enough to destroy everything.

About Angela:

Angela Addams is an author of many naughty things. She believes that the written word is an amazing tool for crafting the most erotic of scenarios and likes telling stories about normal people getting down and dirty and falling in love. Enthralled by the paranormal at an early age, Angela also spends a lot of her time thinking up new story ideas that involve supernatural creatures in everyday situations.

She is an avid tattoo collector, a total book hoarder, and loves anything covered in chocolate…except for bugs.

She lives in Ontario, Canada in an old, creaky house, with her husband, children and four moody cats.

INTERVIEW

  1. What is on your nightstand?

Too many books to ever read! I have a bit of a book buying problem. And don’t get me started on what’s loaded on my Kindle. I’ve got a Karin Slaughter and Lisa Gardner waiting to be read and I’m currently reading Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, which I’m really loving.

  1. What author would you totally fan?

Kresley Cole is one of my favorite authors who I have met in person and totally went all fangirl on. I have also met Anne Rice (twice) who said she loved my hair. I’ve had many wonderful interactions with Kelley Armstrong as well so I feel pretty lucky in general with my author experiences.

  1. What makes you cringe?

I honestly don’t know. There aren’t a lot of things that embarrass me. I mean, it sucks to be in an awkward situation…hugging someone who doesn’t like hugs, misreading situations and saying the “wrong thing” but I tend to shake those incidents off pretty quickly so it doesn’t bother me for long if at all.

  1. Do you obsessively plot out each point or just go with the flow?

I do outline but it’s not my favorite thing to do so I don’t outline in great detail. There’s got to be enough that I can write a one page synopsis if I put it all together (I write a lot of proposals) but not so much detail that there isn’t room for new ideas/directions to come out in the process of writing. Usually once I get into a project and write about a third of a book I can plot out the remaining chapters in detail. That takes a lot of pressure off for sure and makes the rest of my writing time go pretty smoothly.

  1. Is there a word you love to use?

Oh yes, but it’s totally inappropriate 😉 It starts with F and ends with k and I use it quite liberally in my daily life.

Also, if you have any pictures of your pet you would like to share, please attach them.  My readers love animals!

This is Salem! I have four cats in total but Salem is my kitty. She is always by my side and purrs so prettily.
