Twin Sisters: one destined to rule, one cursed to destroy.
Some say blood is thicker than water. But for twin sisters, Adie and Aura, their connection runs even deeper than blood.
After investigating a surprise attack carried out by dark souls controlled by the Wicked Willow, an evil residing in a neighboring region, Aura uncovers a family secret: she is the fulfillment of a curse placed upon her family centuries ago.
While Aura is destined to destroy their planet, Thindoral, Adie is fated to follow in their mother’s footsteps and become Ruler, but even Adie’s path comes with revelations. Dangerous premonitions plague her dreams, all depicting Thindoral’s demise at the hand of her sister.
As darkness takes control of her mind, Aura must determine whether defying fate and time is the choice that will seal her destruction, or if self-sacrifice will save all she holds dear. Meanwhile, Adie is faced with an impossible decision: save her sister, or protect their world?
Even before I could hold a pencil in my hand, I was making up stories in my head. I wrote my first book in the second grade, Girls [sorry Lena Dunham], about me and my best friends in college [because college was super cool when you were 8] who went on treasure hunts and fought bad guys with our super powers. My second grade teacher was so impressed with me, she laminated a cover and bound it. That will forever be the moment I dreamed of holding a copy of my own book and placing it on a shelf.
Now all grown up, my head still stays in the fantasy world, fashioning worlds where the power of a star can be harnessed and used for time travel, flying is just as easy as walking here on earth – and my best friends are fairies. My characters are dark and lost individuals, but your love for them will grow when you realize not everything is black and white. I am represented by Rebecca Angus at Golden Wheat Literary.
I have a three book deal with The Parliament House with Book One of my current trilogy, The Halves of Us, scheduled to be published in 10/9/2018.

1. What is on your nightstand?
A few half-filled bottles of water, a bunch of pens and sticky notes (I wake up in the night a lot and jot ideas or dreams I had down), a lamp, and a hard copy of Children of Blood and Bone.
2. What author would you totally fan?
Hmm, right now I am picturing me fanning V.E. Schwab with a giant leaf, and I am totally hoping that is what you were asking.
3. What makes you cringe?
People who clip their nails in their cubicle (that’s another story for another time), and people who say they don’t read books.
4. Do you obsessively plot out each point or just go with the flow?
I think I am this weird mixture of both – at least with The Halves of Us trilogy as so much of it was based on dreams I had. So I would write and write, just to get it all down – and then I would have to plot to fill in some areas to connect everything. But with a few of my WIPs I have found I have to plot a bit more (one specifically involves a lot of historical aspects, so I have to pay attention to those).
5. Is there a word you love to use?
I have a few crutch words I have tried to remove from my writing like just, or looked/gazed upward. But one of my last beta readers really said I used the word lantern too much and jokingly suggested buying me some lanterns for Christmas since I apparently had an obsession. I will not be surprised if that is Christmas gift from them. I LOVE LAMP!
Also, if you have any pictures of your pet you would like to share, please attach them. My readers love animals!
Oh man, I think you might regret this because BOY DO I HAVE PHOTOS OF MY PETS. I have three rescue cats, Vincent Van Gogh (4 years old), Mufasa (5 years old), and Bella (10 years old). I post way too many photos of them on my social media. I am totally a cat mom, and I have no shame about it. I adopted them from Williamson County Animal Shelter in Texas that I volunteer at. I am a photographer, so I volunteer my time on occasion to take pictures of the incoming animals so they can find their FURever homes. [I limited myself to two photos of each cat –which was hard, I am not going to lie.]
