When Olivia trades her promising career for a more domestic lifestyle as a wife and mother, she expects many things but never to see ghosts much less be one.

Her life with her handsome husband, Brandon, a successful criminal lawyer, starts as a happy one, but following a tragedy, guilt, alcohol and drugs crush their blissful world in a hurry. One minute Olivia is planning to leave the marriage and the next she’s floating at the foot of her son’s bed. Dead. Murdered. And all evidence points to Brandon as the prime suspect.

She is angry and determined to make him pay, but soon, she learns that if she wants justice, she must follow the clues that reach back into Brandon’s past.

Suspenseful, romantic and awash in the afterlife thrill, She Never Got To Say Goodbye captures the power of love and friendship.

PLEASE WELCOME ICA TO BOOKHOUNDS

  1. What is on your nightstand?

I can’t stand clutter, so there’s only one thing on my nightstand—a night lamp. That said, before I go to bed I like to read, and when I have a good book, I find myself reading well into the wee hours, so my Kindle ends up resting beside the lamp. Right now I’m reading Bridge Back—a hilarious, well-plotted, hard to put down, Christian romantic suspense by bestselling author Stephanie Parker McKean.

  1. What author would you totally fan?

Over the years, I’ve discovered a lot of fantastic authors, some famous, some not, but I always loved Stephen King, so yeah, he will remain not only my favorite but also my inspiration.

  1. What makes you cringe?

I am usually a mild-mannered person, and there aren’t many things that are strong enough to puncture that composure, but hypocrisy really grinds my gears for some reason.

  1. Do you obsessively plot out each point or just go with the flow?

I’ve authored a total of 10 books and not a single one of them followed my direction. In other words, I plot but not obsessively; when my characters take charge, I simply go with the flow.

  1. Is there a word you love to use?

Clearly. I can’t find another more definitive meaning, and I tend to over-use this word in my writing. I often have to change it when I’m editing to avoid repetition. Of course, there are others that I try to avoid (I really do) and which I’m sure makes my editor cringe, but she’s too nice to throw it in my face, so she nicely utters, “You already said that.”
