MY THOUGHTS
Piper Summers is working her tail off with three jobs and also volunteering at a dachshund rescue (you have my attention right there) while working her way through vet school. Her dachshund, Colin, is her main man though (swoon!) and in her varied jobs, she delivers signing telegrams. The last one got a bit away from her when she gets carried away while singing for CEO Aidan Caldwell. Even though it went wrong, he can’t forget about her and when he gets into the cab she is driving. Things go from bad to worse when she loses two of her three jobs and her cab is stolen.
Aidan also owns the building of the local shelter so Piper has another cute meet with him and he starts to loosen up his CEO personality when they are around each other. The dogs in the story move things along where the pair more than likely would have been stuck. There is a bit of a mystery where someone seems to be framing Piper for vandalism and that helps with the plot as well. This is a very cute start to a new series featuring animals. Griffin nails the dachshund personality perfectly. More dachshunds, please!
