The first books I read were the Dick and Jane books at school. At home I read Golden books that my mom would buy me. After that, I read Bobsey Twins and I loved them.
Golden Books were my first books. I especially remember The Poky Little Puppy.

I don’t remember reading books until I was in school and I learned to read. I’m sure my mom must have read to me. We read Fun with Dick & Jane books.

I had quite a collection of Golden Books that my parent’s read to me. The first chapter book I remember reading by myself was The Secret Garden.

Dick and Jane was my first read but I remember when Dr. Seuss was considered bad literature! We had cousins with all the books and couldn’t wait to go there so we could read them all!
