I’m grateful for everything by Rudyard Kipling, but my favorite was the story of Rikki Tikki Tavi. It was the first book that I ever read by myself when I was a kid, and I would read it every night before bed. That was the book responsible for my love of reading.
I recently read Wellness Warrior by Lisa Douthit about her trials with sickness and how she has made changes to deal with her illness better.
I am grateful for ‘Where the Wild things are’. My dad used to read me this as a child all the time and it is one of my fondest memories of him.

I know it is not original but the Harry Potter series. This was a series my daughters and I would read together as they came out. We even went to a couple of the midnight release parties. Now my nephew is reading the series and talks to us about them. Someday my granddaughter will start them and I can’t wait.
