I really have not read a scary book that I can remember but I am hoping to get one during this hop.
I love to read true crime stories. Most recently I read Stalking Mary.

American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
The last horror book I read was by Stephen King (which was several years ago). I do enjoy reading fantasy, romance, and cozy mystery books now (not so much horror). Recently I finished reading Lord of the Wings by Donna Andrews (cozy murder mystery book set during Halloween). I’m not sure if it really counts as a spooky book.

The Dead Travel Fast by Deanna Raybourn. Wasn’t very scary, though.
That last couple spooky ones I’ve read were the Goosebumps Movie Novel and Here They Lie by D’Ann Burrow.

I just finished reading Meanwhile, Back In Deadwood by Ann Charles. I love this series. If you haven’t read any of her books, you definitely should give them a try. They are spooky and funny at the same time.
