Spending the day with family!
I’ll be spending Father’s Day seeing two plays up in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts: Shining City at the Barrington Stage Company and The How and the What at Shakespeare and Company. My late father was not particularly into theater and didn’t always appreciate my interest, though he did enjoy the times I took him and my mother to the Goodspeed Opera House or into NYC (I recall him liking Yul Brynner and Mary Beth Piel in “The King and I.” So to forget that I miss him, I’ll do something I really enjoy to take my mind off that, but knowing that he’d wonder how I could possibly do two shows in a single day!
It’s just a normal day for me. My kids will be working. My dad and stepdad have passed away long ago. I think about them on Father’s Day and plenty of other times as well. I will be taking care of my dogs and doing household chores.
We will have a big Sunday dinner at NaNa’s house. Everyone brings a dish. This is the best part of Father’s Day. We are all together as a family.
Spending the day with my family.
I will not do anything special, I don’t celebrate that holiday. My mom raised me as a single parent so she was my dad too. She passed away this February.
Cool giveaway. Our kids are grown and in other states, so I’ll make him his meal of choice and we’ll go to the movies.
I’ll call my dad, but won’t do anything special (since we live in different states)
Since we no longer have living fathers, we will spend the day doing what my husband loves, fishing. It looks like our son and family will be able to join us — so a day with the grandkids!!!
My husband and I will be taking his father out for either lunch or dinner (not sure which yet). Phone calls go out to my dad and grandfather who both live out of town. Might go to the park and do some kite flying.

in this father’s day it was so special because after so many years without doing that day along side with my father , this year was going to be so special . But sadly , I didn’t spend it with him because I was traveling and he was working , well I will always have next year , even thought I was so excited for this year spending that day with him.
