Every Month, I gather up my books that have been sitting around and give them away, usually with a theme. This month, the spotlight is on a book series involving quilts. These books have made the rounds in my family, but they still have a lot more life in them.
Here are the first line from the blurb on Amazon. Please guess the title on the rafflecopter form. You can always come back to fill in your guesses. No need to list the author. Please don’t post the titles in comments! Oh yeah, if there are characters involved, they are xxx’d out.
Book # 1
Tangled, anxious thoughts relaxed when she felt the fabric beneath her fingers and remembered that she was creating something beautiful enough to delight the eyes as well as the heart, something strong enough to defeat the cold of a Pennsylvania winter night.
Book # 2
As each woman confronts a personal crisis, a painful truth, or a life-changing choice, the quilt serves as a symbol of the complex and enduring bonds between mothers and daughters, sisters and friends.
Book # 3
. . . a group of far-flung friends who pledge to complete a “challenge quilt” — symbolic of each woman’s personal goals — in one year’s time.
Book # 4
After learning of her family’s ties to the slaveholding South, XXXXX scours her attic for clues and discovers a window into the world of her ancestors: the memoir of her great-grandfather’s spinster sister. . .
Book # 5
Eager to celebrate the union, her friends decide to create a beautiful wedding quilt to warm the newlyweds’ home and hearts. A secret with such good intentions, they reason, couldn’t possibly do anyone harm.
