PLEASE WELCOME SHONA TO BOOKHOUNDS
- What is the first book you remember reading by yourself as a child?
Possibly ‘Riddle of the Trumpalar’ https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6929466-the-riddle-of-the-trumpalar?from_search=true . It wasn’t the first book I read by myself, but it’s the earliest one that I remember. It’s an Australian story so it may not be widely known.
- What are you reading right now?
Right now I’m reading ‘The Tropic of Serpents’ by Marie Brennan. I love the Regency-esque fantasy setting the woman of science and the reality of dragons. This is book 2 in the series—it isn’t a romance but it has romantic elements.
- How does your garden grow?
Not well. I didn’t get my grandmothers green thumbs, plus I live in Perth where it’s very dry. But that doesn’t stop me from having a small veggie patch. Fresh strawberries and tomatoes are the best!
- What is the last thing you Googled?
um…I can’t answer that on the grounds it might incriminate me 😉 Probably something on poison or werewolves.
5. What makes you cringe?
Australian politics. Small minded people. Short term profits placed over the environment—we only get one earth and you can’t eat or breathe money.

He’s Trying to Reclaim His Past

She’s Struggling to Face the Future
It took years for Jacqueline Ara to put her life back together after Felan abandoned her. She’s moved on, even if her heart still burns for him. But with war in Annwyn looming and death bleeding into the mortal world, Felan and Jacquie will need to heal old wounds and rekindle the passion that once welled between them…or face losing everything.
