I loved Little House on the Prairie growing up! That is what I really would like to have.

That is a tough question. I really loved the Harry Potter series.
My most recent “favorite” book-to-movie would be The Book Thief, otherwise my all-time favorite is the Lord of the Rings.
I like North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell.
