I read Thunder Dog: the True Story of a Blind Man, His Guide Dog, and the Triumph of Trust at Ground Zero by Michael Hingson with Susy Flory. Our book discussion group had a lively talk about this topic and went off on tangents about other challenges including deafness. When asked what sense we would want to be without, most in our group did not choose to be blind.
