I think Hugh Jackman would make a great Duke. Yes, he is masculine and heart-stoppingly handsome, but not just that. He displays the most attractive mix of intelligence and humor and his eyes. He can also turn ferocious in a blink. I’d love to see him staring at me from across a crowded ballroom. **Swoon!**
Fortunately, a few years and a few careers later, Anne found her way back to writing the stories she loves and in 2011 won the Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart® for Regency Historical Romance. She lives in Maryland with her husband (who, sadly, is not a peer of the realm-but a great guy nonetheless) and her three children, who try valiantly not to roll their eyes whenever she quotes Jane Austen. Her weaknesses include reality TV, cute-but-impractical shoes, and caffeinated beverages of all kinds.
My friends would say I would cast Hugh Jackman in anything because he’s..well, Hugh Jackman. But that simply isn’t true. So far I’ve only cast him as one of my historical heroes, Jack Wyndham, of BARELY A LADY. For Ian Ferguson of my ONCE A RAKE, the only person I ever seriously considered was a young Liam Neeson. No one else has the size, the effortless strength, and the kind eyes that Neeson does. And Ian isn’t really gorgeous. He’s manly. Can you think of anybody who does ‘manly’ better?

Oh goody! Some wonderful historicals for my holiday reading fest! When my children were small the holidays were much too busy for any reading, but I find reading romances brings additional joy to my holidays now. It relaxes me and takes away any stress I might experience from shopping, etc. Thanks for the post! jdh2690@gmail.com

Fun to see who authors picture when making novels. I usually have a picture in my head as I’m reading them, so it’s neat to see if we have similar ideas.

I love historical romances. They’re a wonderful escape. But gracious, I feel so old. The movie stars that I would like to see cast as heroes are a young Sean Connery or someone like Adrian Paul, of Highlander fame. Of the movie stars today, I don’t consider most of them ‘stars’ because most of them act like spoiled brats. Just because they may be attractive and talented doesn’t make them entitled to behave in a way that would be unacceptable in an ‘ordinary’ person. I wouldn’t consider any of them to be hero quality.
Thanks for the giveaway. I love all these authors. Historical Romance is one of my favorite genres to read. Thanks again.
I love to read historical romances. I like the trip to the pass. Thanks. DebP
These look like some great books. Thank you for the chance to win.
What a wonderful line-up of historical romance books by my favorite authors!
For anyone who isn’t lucky enough to be chosen then won’t want to miss picking up a copy of Anne Barton’s Once She Was Tempted which is being released on October 29th! I was lucky to get an ARC copy and the story is one not to be missed!
I think all those guys would do admirably in a nice, historical romance role! Thanks for the great giveaway.

I’d look at anything with Hemsworth or Pine. sigh… Thanks for the giveaway! What an awesome set of books!
I enjoyed reading the choices of Hollywood heroes. I think Richard Armitage would be another good choice for an arrogant duke.
Oh Chris…*dreamy sigh* He is a great pick for anything, but especially a historical hero.
Fun post!!!

Thanks for the giveaway!
I love historicals – thanks for the giveaway! So glad I found your site throught Nancy Gideon’s Halloween Blog Hop – you’ll be seeing much more of me! 🙂
Sean Bean would make a great hero for a romance novel. Likewise, I would love to see Kit Harrington, Richard Madden, and Nikolaj Costner-Waldau as historical romance heroes. But the greatest of all is Colin Firth.
Denzel Washington and Paul Newman if he were still with us.
I’m a huge historical romance junkie and would love to see many of my favorites made into movies. Better yet, I vote for a cable channel dedicated to historical romances. As to who I would Hugh Jackman and Chris Hemsworth are always good choices. Travis Fimmel and Alexander Skarsgård would also make great choices. Thanks for hosting such a spectacular giveaway! I’m drooling just looking and that prize pack.
I love historical romance and to have these 5 authors all together in one giveaway is not only a one in a lifetime opportunity but also a perfect way to start getting in the spirit of Christmas!
