Gabby is a middle age widow who has packed on the pounds after her husband died three years ago. Her four children have drifted apart and she sends them all a dvd to invite them to spend the holidays and attend her wedding on Christmas day. She doesn’t tell the children who she is marrying, but tells them to come home to find out. There are sections of the book dedicated to each child, so you get a background for each of them. I guess you have to take this story with a grain of salt since I couldn’t imagine any mother marrying someone with her children (even if they are adults) to not meet this man before the occasion. But for the story’s sake, it does make it plausible. Over all a quick read and perfect for the season.
