Cool Blogs Haute Dogs: MARIA ZANNINI

August 14, 2011 By Mary

Please welcome MARIA and her dogs, Tank and Iko!

Web Address: http://mariazannini.blogspot.com/

How long have you been blogging?
Since 2007
Do you have a favorite genre of books to feature on your blog?
I love to talk about my dogs, homesteading, and writing! Sometimes all three at once.
How many books a year do you read?
I’ve never counted, but there are books in every room of the house. And now that I have a Nook, I never run out.
What does your dog like to do while you blog or read?
They tell me they’re on guard, but it still looks like sleeping to me.
What is your dogs’ favorite activity?
The boys love to go for walks. They’re my backup when I check on chickens or fight off scorpions and snakes.
My latest book is called The Devil To Pay, the first novella in a series about love and trouble in the Afterlife.
The road to Hell is paved with good intentions and bad tequila. Shannon McKee finds herself at the end of her rope, and in a fit of despair bargains her soul.

Shannon’s offer is accepted immediately by two men who couldn’t be more different from one another. Yet they share a bond and an affection for the stubborn Miss McKee that even they don’t understand.

When Heaven and Hell demand their payment, Shannon has no choice but to submit. No matter who gets her soul, she’s not getting out of this alive.

I’m also the author of True Believers, Touch Of Fire, and its sequel, Apocalypse Rising.

I love those pictures. Tank sitting with his “mimi me” is too cute. I just want to hug them both!

Iko was so tiny compared to Tank…but not anymore 🙂

    Really enjoyed this post.

I love this blog, and Maria’s boys look so cute. Alas, I have no dog of my own. Although, I did look after my father-in-law’s dog for a while.

Maria, LOVE the boys. Iko was an adorable pup. Now they’re just handsome hunks.

Mary, thanks for a great post.

    @Angelina: They love their hugs.

@Angela: I still can’t get over how little he was–or how fast he grew!

@Ellie: You need a dog. If you ever come to the states, I know a place where you can share a couple of kissy dogs.

@Linda: The size has changed but not his sweetness. He’s still the same little boy inside.

Man oh man what a con artist that little man was, he hooked you with those eyes Maria I know he did!

They look so sweet together, just like two peas in a pod only one is grown up and one is just a little tyke. Now when I see pics of Iko you are right where did that tiny puppy go?

Cate: This is why we call Tank, Saint Tank. I swear he deserves a special commendation from heaven.

Jackie: But he’s a very sweet con artist. When he causes mischief you can’t stay mad at him–he’s that good.

Lol what a cute photo. Iko looks so cheeky! I think a lot of doggy business is conducted whilst sleeping.

Such cute photos. Can’t image why you say Iko is a demon dog, looks like an angel.

Thanks for introducing me to a cool new blog.

Shelley: I would say you’re right about the doggie business. Those two are always plotting their next cookie heist.

Mason: Isn’t this the best blog? I love this place!

They are both just adorable little hunks!
Why do I want to picture them with policeman hats on and having their own tv show??

Carla: Thank you! They’re both ham bones. And Tank was particularly photogenic when he was younger. He would’ve made a great actor–and I’d be relegated to serving dog cookies and spring water. 🙂
