MY THOUGHTS
LOVED IT
This is the fourth book in the Edilean series that covers centuries. I have not read any of the other books in this series, but I think this one can stand alone. I had no problem picking up with any of the background. This is an action-adventure historical romance set in the Everglades during 1799 and filled with lots of wonderful historical facts. I love authors who can combine fact with fiction.
Alex, who just broke out of prison is expecting Catherine’s grandfather to meet him with a horse. Instead, he meets Catherine and decides to take her with him as he out runs the law. Catherine’s three brothers chase after them and lots of wonderful chemistry ensues between Cay (Catherine) and Alex. This is a good way to pass a cold winter’s night.
A new Jude Deveraux, boy, I haven’t read her in quite a while! The Scent of Jasmine looks good, I also like when historical facts are woven in well.
I am glad you liked this one. I had a hard time with it. I enjoyed the story line itself and the last 100 pages were action packed with the great twist she threw in.
