YAY! A new month for 3 mystery ARC’s!
Here are the first lines from each book blurb to see if that sparks your interest:
Maybe Abby Knight shouldn’t have chosen a home and garden show sponsored by Uniworld Food as the venue for her protest against the corporation’s harmful farming practices. But being bodily removed from the event won’t stop her campaign. Nor will a burning brick thrown through her flower shop’s window. (February, 2010)
Local politics get nasty when Rosewood, Georgia, elects a new mayor—and Diane Fallon is replaced with an incompetent crony as head of the crime lab. But just as she’s adjusting to life without murder, the newly appointed chief of police and the mayor are shot dead. Back on the job, Diane realizes that no one is safe—least of all her. (February, 2010)
When a block of coal the size of a stove shoots out of the wall, miner Amos Blevins barely has time to react before the entire area is flooded with water. He frantically tries to rescue his crewmates, but in an underground space that is pitch black and too cramped to even stand up, he can barely crawl to safety himself. Inspector Will Murphy is sent to investigate, ordered by his superiors to clear things up quickly so the mine can reopen. After all, if the mine closes, then miners lose their jobs, and so do mine inspectors. (March, 2010)
